Benjamin Tomkinson

From the city streets and urban parks of London to the great outdoors in Ontario, my work has been heavily influenced by the British and Canadian landscape and the obvious beauty of both countries. I'm inspired by the shapes and forms of nature and the way a different view or ray of sunshine can change ones perceptions. I like to produce work that represents the subject accurately but with enough looseness and abstraction enabling the viewer the freedom to make their own interpretation of what they see and how they feel about the work.

I've entered my work for the American Art Awards, under Impressionism (Landscape) and Fantasy Landscape categories.
