Lucie Jirku is a Czech artist, based in Prague.
She studied at Vaclav Hollar School of Art in Prague (1997 – 2001) and later graduated from prestigious Academy of Art, Architecture and Design in Prague (2001-2002), Fashion Design, and Painting (2002-2007) with a Master of Arts degree. During her studies (2005) she spent one semester as an exchange student at the University of Southampton, Winchester School of Art (the UK).
Since 2003 Lucie Jirku has been creating and developing a variety of projects in architecture, graphic design, and painting.
Lucie Jirku's distinctive style is centred on the colorful harmony and formal simplicity, mostly geometrical abstract paintings.
Original artworks (paintings) by Lucie Jirku are in private collections in Czech Republic, England, Scotland, Switzerland, Spain and USA.
